Ellen F. Foxman, MD, PhD, assistant professor of laboratory medicine and of immunobiology, has been named a 2021 Rita Allen Foundation Scholar. The foundation celebrates five early-career leaders in the biomedical sciences whose research holds exceptional promise for revealing new pathways to advance human health. Foxman will receive a five-year research grant to study the ability of the innate immune system to provide protection against infections.
