Laboratory Medicine welcomes a new faculty member

Nataliya Sostin, MD has recently joined the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Yale as an Assistant Professor. She is the Site Director of the St. Raphael Campus (SRC) of Yale New Haven Hospital, where she is responsible for the direction of all the clinical pathology laboratories on the SRC Campus. Nataliya comes to us fresh out of our Transfusion Medicine Fellowship and will replace Dr. Irwin Nash, who plans to retire in December.

Dr. Sostin has an impressive background earning her MD degree in Ukraine as well as two years residency in Otolaryngology there. She then did a four year residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Danbury Hospital and also serving as chief resident. She then came to Yale to join our Transfusion Medicine Fellowship program.

She also has a nursing degree and served as an Operating Room Nurse and Surgical Charge Nurse at the Ambulatory Procedure Center of the Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center and Providence St. Vincent Hospital in Portland, OR.
