MD-PhD Student Eric Song Receives Prestigious Harold M. Weintraub Graduate Student Award
Eric Song, a fifth-year Yale School of Medicine (YSM) MD-PhD student, is one of the recipients of the 2021 Harold M. Weintraub Graduate Student Award, which recognizes outstanding achievement during graduate studies in the biological sciences. The awardees are selected based on the quality, originality, and scientific significance of their research, as well as to represent a diverse range of research topics.

Honoring the Memory of Kristen Cushing, Who Personified Altruism
Kristen Joy Cushing embodied service leadership and was dedicated to providing health care to underserved individuals. Kristen, who graduated from the Yale School of Medicine (YSM) Physician Associate (PA) Program in 2002, was an engaged and beloved member of the greater New Haven community for over two decades. She died on October 18, 2021, from a cerebral aneurysm with her family by her side.

As the recently updated TLC SP Program webpage explains, “Our new name is an accurate expression of the varied roles our SPs are trained to portray, as well as our commitment to serve the diverse needs of our clients and to advance research in education and training using human simulation pedagogy.”
