Na Selected to Receive SOBP Travel Fellowship Award

Peter Na, MD, MPH, assistant professor of psychiatry, has been selected to receive a 2023 Society of Biological Psychiatry Travel Fellowship Award for the 2023 annual meeting of the Society of Biological Psychiatry (SOBP).

The annual meeting will be held April 27-29, 2023, in San Diego. Na will receive a stipend to defray expenses associated with the meeting.

Selection criteria for the award includes past excellence in scholarly work, potential for scholarly growth in biological psychiatry and clinical neuroscience, and overall excellence.

As a SOBP Travel Award recipient, Na will be matched with a mentor and will participate in the society’s Early Career Investigator Program throughout the 2023 meeting. He will also present his research on the psychosocial moderators of polygenic risk for alcohol use.

Na works as an addiction psychiatrist at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven. He completed an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Yale School of Medicine in 2021.
