Ravven Chosen to Receive AMWA Exceptional Mentor Award

Simha E. Ravven, MD, Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, has been chosen to receive the American Medical Women's Association (AMWA) Exceptional Mentor Award.

The award celebrates those who have made an impact on the lives of students in medicine. An “Exceptional Mentor” goes above and beyond what is required and actively reaches out to those around them to help guide them in their career path.

Ravven and other recipients will be recognized at the AMWA 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting.

Ravven is Chief Medical Officer of the Howard Center in Burlington, VT, where she directs psychiatric and clinical care services to ensure the delivery of high quality medical, nursing, and clinical care. She is President of the Vermont Medical Society.

She completed her Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship at Yale School of Medicine and maintains a faculty appointment in the Yale Department of Psychiatry’s Law & Psychiatry Division.
