Feher and his co-authors at the Yale Translational Research Imaging Center (Y-TRIC) tested if a non-invasive procedure called coronary computed tomography (CT) angiography could reliably assess the diameter of epicardial coronary vessels during rest and pharmacological stress. “The results from this study suggested that coronary CT angiography might be used as an early indicator of chemotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity,” said Feher.
The Young Author Achievement Award celebrates outstanding research published in one of the journals of the American College of Cardiology. Feher and his mentor Albert Sinusas, MD, will receive a commemorative plaque and be recognized at the ACC's 70th Annual Scientific Session, which will be held May 15 – 17, 2021.
