Decker Named Associate Cancer Center Director for Clinical Services at Yale Cancer Center

Roy H. Decker, MD, PhD, has been named Associate Cancer Center Director for Clinical Services at Yale Cancer Center.

“Given his record of accomplishment, mentorship, and collaboration, I am confident Dr. Decker will be an exceptional new leader for Clinical Research and our Clinical Trials Operation at Yale Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital,” said Charles Fuchs, MD, MPH, director of Yale Cancer Center and physician-in-chief at Smilow Cancer Hospital.

A Professor of Therapeutic Radiology, Decker’s leadership in the Department as Vice Chair for Clinical Research, Director of the Residency Training Program, Director of the Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy Program, and Director of the Therapeutic Radiology Disease Aligned Research Team (DART) has significantly advanced the mission of Yale Cancer Center. In addition, Decker’s research accomplishments have enabled meaningful improvements in the care and treatment of patients with lung, head and neck, and skin cancers.

Decker will start his new position immediately.
