Overview of Microinjection in X. Tropicalis
Microinjection of molecules has been used for years to manipulate the Xenopus embryo. Microinjection is easily done in X. tropicalis but some changes are necessary. In our experience, X. laevis is easier to use for microinjection. However, we believe that X. tropicalis has some significant advantages over X. laevis for microinjection of "knockdown" morpholino oligonucleotides.
