British Journal editorial highlights work by Yale researchers

January 19, 2017

A recent editorial in the British Journal of Psychiatry Open was dedicated to a manuscript published by Yale Department of Psychiatry Investigators who examined the prescribing practices associated with different classes of psychiatric medications when treating a first episode of posttraumatic stress disorder.

The editorial highlighted the importance of the findings reported by Ilan Harpaz-Rotem, PhD, Associate Professor of Psychiatry, and his colleagues in rethinking the current prescribing guidelines for PTSD when considering the unique factors structure associated with the disorder.
