Gastric Cancer Prevention and Screening Lab

Advancing Risk-Based Strategies for Early Detection

Mission

The Gastric Cancer Prevention and Screening Lab at Yale is a multidisciplinary research group focused on improving early detection and prevention of gastric cancer through clinically grounded, risk-based strategies. Our work bridges research and practice by developing tools to support provider education, refining risk assessment models, and conducting real-world studies in high-risk populations. Through provider engagement, migration-informed risk modeling, and collaborative implementation research—including partnerships with advocacy groups and policymakers—we aim to generate actionable insights that inform clinical practice, guide public health strategies, and expand equitable access to screening and early intervention.

  • Research/Projects

Our lab conducts clinically grounded, policy-relevant research to reduce the burden of gastric cancer through risk-based early detection and prevention strategies. Our work bridges gastroenterology, public health, and health equity, with a focus on immigrant and high-risk populations in the U.S.
