      <description>This summer, we saw a first-of-its-kind cross-sector collaboration – a leader in academic research and a national women’s health nonprofit joined forces to amplify the power of women’s health research and investment. The collaborative symposium “From Discovery to Impact: Accelerating Women's Health Research Through Science, Policy, and Investment” hosted by Women’s Health Research at Yale and the Society for Women’s Health Research (SWHR) on June 15 in New Haven, Conn., welcomed more than 50 speakers, researchers from 28 departments across Yale, and gathered 350+ attendees for a day-long event that covered the power of women’s health research through an arc of discovery to practical impact. </description>

      <title>Obinutuzumab Lowers Nonrenal Disease Activity</title>
      <description>In the phase 3 ALLEGORY trial (NEJM 2026; n=303), obinutuzumab added to standard care significantly improved active non-renal SLE vs placebo. The primary endpoint, SRI-4 response at 52 weeks, was 76.7% vs 53.5%, and all key secondary endpoints favored obinutuzumab: BICLA (62.0% vs 40.1%), steroid taper to ≤7.5 mg/d (80.0% vs 54.1%), reduced BILAG flare risk (HR 0.58), remission (35.1% vs 13.8%), and LLDAS (57.6% vs 25.0%). Safety was comparable. Dr. Shivani Garg was quoted in the article calling it a strong study and good option for extrarenal lupus, noting that organ-specific and head-to-head data are still needed.</description>
