Dr. Kevin Sheth, Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery and Division Chief, Neurocritical Care and Emergency Neurology, will receive the Association for Clinical and Translational Science (ACTS) Team Science Award this spring. The award recognizes a research team led by Dr. Sheth, which demonstrated outstanding, interdisciplinary research and discoveries in brain injury treatment method
In order to be nominated for the award, the ACTS requires nominators to supply the names and titles of researchers, a research concentration, and descriptions of research achievements, team structure, and sources of funding.
A part of his award, Dr. Sheth will receive a $1,000 honorarium, which will go towards the Yale Center for Clinical Research. He hopes to establish a fund at the YCCI to promote diversity in clinical research and training.
Dr. Sheth will accept the award at the Translational Science 2020 meeting, which will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C. from April 14 – 17.
