INFORMATION FOR

Pregnancy

We are currently recruiting pregnant mothers for a study on the development of the human fetal brain. This Autism Center of Excellence (ACE) study will help our understanding of the fundamental changes that occur in the brains of fetuses with elevated likelihood for ASD. It will also help develop monitoring and intervention strategies.

In particular, we are recruiting mothers who are at or before 24 weeks of pregnancy, with older children who either have ASD or are typically developing.

Participation will include interviews, two MRI scans during pregnancy, one MRI scan of your infant before 4 weeks of age, and follow-up visits with your infant through 24 months that may include assessments of social, adaptive, cognitive, and language development and studies of attention requiring watching videos and listening to sounds.

The MRI scans take place at 300 Cedar St., New Haven, CT. Follow up visits will occur at our clinic at 300 George St., Suite 900, New Haven, CT. We provide free and convenient parking.

If you are interested in participating, please fill out our inquiry form, send us an email at ace@yale.edu, or give us a call at (203) 764-5933.
