Allea graduated from The University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Addiction Studies. She has been involved in research projects that include investigating the epigenomic and biochemical mechanisms of Autism Spectrum disorder and Alzheimer’s, social psychophysiology in regard to behavioral affect, behavioral effects of prenatal drug exposure in children and, behavioral interventions in neonatal-perinatal medicine. Allea aims to pursue an PhD or MD/PhD and is most interested in using a multidisciplinary approach to investigate the underlying neurological mechanisms and predictors of diverse psychiatric illnesses in order to modify and strengthen current techniques of clinical diagnosis and treatment. Allea is currently a Postgraduate associate in the Cho Lab in collaboration with the Anticevic Lab.
