De Aquino Receives 2022 CPDD Travel Award for Early Career Investigators

João P. De Aquino, MD, assistant professor of psychiatry, is a recipient of a 2022 College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD) Travel Award for Early Career Investigators.

Dr. De Aquino was selected from a pool of 90 applicants for 30 awards. The award provides up to $1,000 to defray the costs associated with attending the CPDD Annual Meeting from June 11-15, 2022 in Minneapolis, as well as attendance at a recipients luncheon during the meeting.

In addition to treating persons with substance use disorders and co-occurring medical and psychiatric disorders, Dr. De Aquino uses behavioral pharmacology, computerized assessment of pain, and clinical trial approaches to develop novel therapeutics for persons living with chronic pain and addiction.
