Mehmet Karakus joins the Askoy Lab as a Postdoctoral Fellow. Dr. Karakus received his PhD in the field of Parasitology at Ege University in Turkey. His research was focused on Leishmaniasis among Syrian refugees in Turkey and their genotyping. He will investigate paratransgenic control of trypanosome parasites in the tsetse vector.
