Maria Onyango joins the Aksoy Lab as a Postdoctoral Fellow. Maria recently completed her PhD at CSIRO Australia on the population genetics of Culicoides, vector of bluetongue virus. She is originally from Kenya. She will study tsetse genetics and microbiota interactions that influence trypanosome transmission.
