Information for VACS Authors
The following information should be included on all manuscripts:

  1. Please use the VA disclaimer verbatim as follows:
    Disclaimer: The views expressed in this article are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the position or policy of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  2. The funding source for the VACS program should be acknowledged as: Veterans Aging Cohort Study funded by: National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (U10 AA 13566) and VHA Public Health Strategic Health Core Group.
  3. Please use the Vancouver requirements to determine authorship. If any members of the writing group are omitted from authorship, please explain the rationale in a cover note to Amy Justice.

Finally, before submitting a manuscript please make certain it has been circulated to and approved by the VACS publications committee. To accomplish this you may send the completed manuscript to Teresanne.Bohan@va.gov for circulation. Please include the name of the journal the manuscript is being submitted to and the date you would like to make the submission.
