Rheumatology

Yale Rheumatology faculty physicians are dedicated to the diagnosis and management of rheumatic diseases through coordinated programs of clinical care and clinical research focused on advancing treatment and quality of life for people with arthritis, autoimmune diseases, and related conditions.

We provide clinical care for patients with rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, reactive arthritis, osteoarthritis and other types of inflammatory arthritis including Sjögren’s syndrome, polymyositis, dermatomyositis, vasculitis, scleroderma, anti-phospholipid antibody syndrome, and related autoimmune conditions. Our physicians work closely with other specialists at Yale including pulmonologists, nephrologists, gastroenterologists, cardiologists, allergists, neurologists, dermatologists, surgeons, and orthopedists to provide care for patients with complex rheumatic and autoimmune diseases.

Specialized care is offered in the following programs:

  • Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

  • Transition Program for Young Adults
  • Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome
  • Scleroderma and Myositis
