Is there a Pre-Interview Dinner?
There is not a Pre-Interview Dinner the night prior to the preliminary track interview days. However, you will have the opportunity to interact privately during the interview day with residents and faculty.
Where Does My Interview Day Begin and End?
Each Preliminary Applicant Interview Day, doors open for Registration at 8:00 a.m. and we'll begin the day at 8:25 a.m. in the Beaumont Room (see address below). Please refer to our Yale Med School Campus Walking MAP or an interactive Yale Medical School Campus MAP. If you need to, you may bring your luggage with you to the Beaumont Room and it will be locked in a secure location for you until you depart at the end of the day. Information about "Parking" is described below.

Your preliminary interview day will include 1 faculty interview, an in-depth informational session about our preliminary internship training, a private panel discussion with current preliminary interns, residents and alumni, and a tour of Yale–New Haven Hospital. You will receive an individualized itinerary the morning you arrive with the name of your faculty interviewer. We will be unable to provide you with the names of your faculty interviewers in advance. You're day is finished at approximately 2:00 p.m., so please do not make travel arrangements to depart before this time. We always encourage applicants to give themselves plenty of time after the interview day finishes to travel to their next destination.
