Yale Rheumatology - Clinical and Translational Research Laboratory (YR-CTRL)

The Yale Rheumatology Clinical and Translational Research Laboratory (YR-CTRL) is comprised of various faculty members in the Section of Rheumatology, Allergy & Immunology who are conducting patient-oriented research in the rheumatic diseases (e.g., systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, seronegative spondyloarthropathies, and systemic sclerosis).

In this instance, the word laboratory is used to indicate our mission to discover the etiology of rheumatic diseases as we care for this special patient group. Thus, each faculty member is a member and active laboratory participant as he/she/ze phenotypes patients, explains and recruits patients into investigational studies, and promotes biospecimen collection.

The result is a unified rheumatology laboratory team comprised of expert clinicians as well as disease-focused specialists who are all dedicated to improving the lives of the patients we serve.
