Rheumatoid and Inflammatory Arthritis Program
The Yale Rheumatoid Arthritis Program addresses the challenges faced by patients with all forms of inflammatory arthritis. Our program focuses on patient education and clinical research designed to advance our knowledge and treatment of arthritis.
Education
One of our main goals is to educate each patient in our best understanding of that individual’s disease, appropriate therapies, and in resources available to those living with inflammatory arthritis. We encourage patients, and their families, to participate in all aspect of decision-making about their disease management. We work together with patients to help them achieve a high quality of life.
Research
Our patients may choose to participate in research studies. Our research is directed at finding better clinical therapies, improving the quality of patients’ lives, increasing our understanding of inflammatory arthritis and our patients’ preferences regarding their treatment.
For Referring Physicians
New patients are seen on a referral basis only using the new patient referral form which should be faxed to 203-785-7053 or for patients who are currently seen within the Yale New Haven Health and its partner organizations, a referral must be entered into EPIC by choosing the YNH Arthritis & Rheumatology option.
