The ability to interact with patients, and treating patients who have a long history of complaints that are not fully managed and who are frustrated by their illness. Also, I love working with my colleagues.

How did Yale prepare you for your career?

From stellar teaching, to good mentors, Yale has provided me with strong relationships that last.

What surprised you most about your field/area of expertise?

I was surprised at the number of people who need bronchiectasis care and the limited number of physicians trained in that area.

One piece of advice you’ll never forget?

What have been your biggest challenges and accomplishments since the beginning of the pandemic?

Coordinating critical care of COVID patients and doing bronchiectasis research.
