Niral is from Chicago and attended Saint Louis University for his B.S. in Biology before continuing on to the Saint Louis University School of Medicine where he received an MD with a Distinction in Research. While at Saint Louis University, he helped create and teach an undergraduate course focusing on the transition from college to medical school and the hidden curriculum of medical education. He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at Henry Ford Hospital/Wayne State University where he was involved in multiple quality improvement interventions and leadership positions. He then went to Norwalk Hospital for a Pulmonary Fellowship where he helped develop a curriculum for Endobronchial Ultrasound and ultrasound guided procedures. His interests are in medical education and quality improvement.
