Paul Albert Trubin, MD

Dr. Trubin is Instructor in the Section of Infectious Diseases at Yale School of Medicine. His primary clinical and research interests are in the management and outcomes of infections in immunocompromised patients and in the optimization of delivery of care for patients living with HIV and organ transplant recipients.

Paul was born and raised in New York City. He received his B.A. from Brown University in Comparative Literature with concentration in English- and French-language writings. He received his doctorate in medicine from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, having matriculated through the Humanities in Medicine program. He subsequently completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans, with distinction in Medical Leadership and Hospital Administration. He then served as Chief Resident at Tulane Internal Medicine with focus in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety.

He lives in the New Haven area with his wife, Hannah, a Fellow in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at Yale, and their daughter, Grace.
