Paola Carneiro, BSc, MSc

Paola earned her BSc in Biological Sciences from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in early 2020, and Master in Genetics and Molecular Biology - PPGBM/UFRGS in 2022. In her academic journey, Paola acquired experience on genome edition, bioinformatics and data science.  She was a member of Bioinformatics Core and Cells, Tissues and Genes Laboratory at Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre, Brazil.  At Yale University,  Paola joined the Nicoli Lab as a Postgraduate Associate in the middle of 2022. In the Nicoli Lab, she is interested in  understanding the compensatory mechanisms triggered after the loss of function mutations of miRNAs through a computational approach.
