Biography

Neil Gupta is a Board-Certified Internist and MBA graduate. Neil is one of ten students selected to the highly competitive Guaranteed Entrance to Medical School (GEMS) Program at the University of Louisville, where he completed his undergraduate and medical school training. He graduated #1 in high school and was the recipient of the Woodcock Medal in college, the highest academic honors bestowed by the College of Arts and Sciences. He also received scholarship for medical school, where he graduated top 10 in his class and was AOA (Alpha Omega Alpha), the highest academic honor.

During high school and college, he was actively involved in volunteer work for the Hispanic community, serving as volunteer writer for the local Hispanic newspaper, Hoy en las Americas. He was working at the local library in conversation clubs to teach immigrants English and also mentoring Hispanic youth. He received the Bell Award from his local community for volunteerism, as well as the Toyota Community Scholarship, a national community service scholarship, and was even featured in USA Today for his accomplishments. He is bilingual in Spanish and English.

He completed his residency in internal medicine at Yale and practices Hospitalist Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital on the Hospitalist service, in addition to teaching medical students and residents as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine.

Neil has a track record of academic and professional excellence. He served as Medical Director of one of the medical units at Yale New Haven Hospital and has participated on various hospital committees to improve healthcare delivery. He completed his MBA through Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and graduated in December 2021. His active interests include healthcare innovation and leveraging technology to improve patient outcomes.

Neil's diagnostic skills have earned him recognition in New York Times. In addition, he is recipient of Yale’s Great Catch Award and was recognized at various points in Yale’s Grand Rounds for "Catch of the Week." He has published and presented various medical topics at national conferences.
