Biography
Hannah Takahashi Oakland was born and raised in Charlottesville, Virginia. She received her B.A. in Religious Studies from Yale University, where she was in Trumbull College and competed on the varsity sailing team. Following her undergraduate studies, she worked for the Medicare Rights Center in New York City. She then received her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. She completed residency and Chief residency in Internal Medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans. She is excited to return to New Haven with her husband, Paul, a fellow in Infectious Diseases at Yale, and their new daughter, Ko.
