Evelyn Aviles

Evelyn is part of the Office of Public Health Practice workforce team, where she supports the activities of the Connecticut Department of Public Health’s Workforce Initiative, including the statewide Public Health Training Academy of Connecticut and the Public Health Fellowship Program as the Senior Administrative Assistant. Evelyn's career spans over 20 years at Yale New Haven Health and Yale University supporting Senior Executives and Physicians, most prominently the Associate Chief of Surgery and Founder of the Yale Melanoma Program. Evelyn transitioned over to Yale University in 2018 to the Department of Emergency Medicine. Her career as a Sr. Administrative Assistant has given her experience in both Academic and Clinical Medicine. Evelyn has a passion for Community Work and has worked with the Mutual Respect Committee at the Yale Health System, The Ronald McDonald House, shelters for women in New Haven and she has also volunteered as a youth leader at her church.
