Biography

Andi Shahu is a clinical fellow in Cardiovascular Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine/Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born in Tirana, Albania and grew up in Washington, DC, USA. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University, his medical degree from the Yale School of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He completed his first year of Cardiology fellowship in 2021-2022, returned to Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2022-2023 to serve as an Assistant Chief of Service (Chief Resident) for the Osler Medical Residency, and returned to New Haven in July 2023 to complete his Cardiology training. His clinical interests include critical care cardiology, general cardiology, cardiovascular disease prevention, and echocardiography. His research interests include cardiovascular outcomes, health equity and health policy. He also loves traveling, writing, music and running.
