Program Director's Welcome

Carrie Redlich, M.D., M.P.H.

As Director of the Yale Occupational & Environmental Medicine Program, it is my pleasure to personally welcome you to our newly refurbished website. Navigating the pages, I think you will discover for yourself the reasons people have been coming to Yale for their advanced training needs, specialty consultations and research capability for almost three decades. Whether you are searching for the most experienced OEM clinicians in the country to diagnose a complex condition, or you are a student of medicine or public health seeking doctoral or post-doctoral training, or a representative of an organization in need of a multidisciplinary team to tackle your most sensitive and pressing challenge, you have come to the right place! Our faculty and professional staff of physician-scientists, epidemiologists, industrial hygienists, statistician/data managers and ergonomists bring over 200 years of combined experience studying and solving the biggest environmental and occupational health challenges of the era—asbestos, lead, solvents, noise, beryllium, isocyanates, chemical sensitivities, just to name a few. You name it, YOEMP has been and remains at the cutting edge of research and practice, and our graduates have become national and international leaders in academics, government and the private sector. So take a few minutes and look around. See what Yale can do for you. And if there’s any way I can be of assistance, feel free to contact me personally at carrie.redlich@yale.edu.
