Patient Priorities Care, led by Mary Tinetti, MD, Gladys Phillips Crofoot Professor of Medicine and Public Health and chief of geriatrics, launched a new online training curriculum.

The Patient Priorities Care team, in partnership with the American College of Physicians (ACP) developed a new, free online training curriculum for clinicians and members of the health care team interested in implementing Patient Priorities Care. The curriculum is composed of three modules. One module prepares members of the health care team to identify a patient’s health priorities and the other two modules address challenges and strategies for clinicians implementing the approach. The curriculum provides resources, such as web-based teachings, scripts, and patient scenarios, based on real-life encounters between patients and clinicians that models the knowledge and skills needed to participate in this approach to decision-making and care.

To help promote the online curriculum and to spread awareness of Patient Priorities Care, Dr. Tinetti’s team has also created a whiteboard "explainer" video. This video is for patients, caregivers, clinicians and health systems to gain a better understanding of what Patient Priorities Care is. If you would like to see the explainer video, the link is https://patientprioritiescare.org/how-it-works/explainer-video/.
