Why did you choose medicine?

I have always been fascinated by the human body and its intricate mechanisms of homeostasis. Medicine is a field that provides the opportunity to learn about and care for diverse people with a variety of conditions.

What was your path to Yale?

I have been acquainted with Yale New Haven Health and Yale University through my family and close friends. They all had great experiences working for and completing their education at Yale. Yale’s policy of inclusion and diversity plays a large part in helping trainees feel included and represented. It was a determining factor in why I decided to come here.

Perks of living in New Haven?

I have enjoyed exploring New Haven and the surrounding area. With lots of good restaurants and theaters, New Haven has a lot to offer.

What is your career goal?

In the near future, I would like to divide my time between teaching and working in a nephrology practice. Prior to residency, I gained experience working in underserved areas with limited resources, and I have a strong interest in global health.
