Application to either the clinical or research tracks of the Yale Nephrology Fellowship is done exclusively through ERAS. Our program is 100% committed to the match process and will offer no positions outside the NRMP match. Any questions about the application process should be directed toward, our fellowship coordinator, Deepa Babu.

Interested applicants should submit their application through ERAS when the application cycle opens on July 1. We recommend applicants to complete the ERAS application early, including securing all letters of recommendation, as our interview slots are given out based on the timing of the receipt of the application.

We require three letters or recommendation, a personal statement, and USMLE transcript. One of the letters of recommendation must be from your residency program director. We do sponsor J-1 and H1B visas for selected applicants. Interviews are by invitation only and usually occur in September through early October.

Due to the unpredictable situation brought on by COVID-19 pandemic, which may limit travel opportunities for candidates, Yale Nephrology Fellowship will offer VIRTUAL interviews in the 2020 Interview Season. It is our hope to reduce the challenges on the applicants during this interview season. While we firmly believe that in-person visits offer you the best opportunity to learn about the educational program has to offer, we will do our best to give you all the same experiences as a traditional in-person interview day, and give you a strong feeling of what our educational environment is like to help you decided if our learning environment is right for you.

Applicants who are interested in exclusively a research fellowship (without a clinical component) should contact Dr. Lloyd Cantley directly or see attached announcement.

All applicants interested in training the Yale Nephrology fellowship training program will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
