Global Health Opportunities
Global Health Training in Nephrology at Yale School of Medicine
By partnering with the Office of Global Health at Yale School of Medicine, we have developed a partnership within Nephrology with Makerere University located in Kampala, Uganda. With the help of the Yale/Stanford Johnson & Johnson Global Health Scholars Program, we can now offer a Global Health rotation for those fellows interested in pursuing a career in Global Health within Nephrology within their second year of Nephrology fellowship. Through this rotation, fellows would be both learners and colleagues, providing care to patients with kidney disease and learning about the challenges in under-resources communities. They will also will act as educators for the residents and physicians at the site, frequently running teaching sessions and attending conferences.
More information about this selective program is available on interview day for those with a specific interest in global health as a career path.
