Glucagon Biology: Glycemic Control and Weight Loss

Dr. Habeggar's lab focuses on research in energy balance, glucose metabolism and obesity including novel pharmacological and surgical/device-based therapies against diabetes and obesity in pre-clinical models of diabetes and obesity. More recently, Dr. Habegger's lab identified that the novel hormone FGF21 is responsible for many of the non-canonical actions of glucagon including its role energy balance and body weight regulation.
