Dean's Workshop on Microbiome Research at Yale

This dean’s workshop will introduce microbiome research across our university.

The workshop includes a keynote address from Yale alumna Wendy Garrett, MD, PhD, the Irene Heinz Given Professor of Immunology and Infectious Diseases in the Departments of Immunology and Infectious Diseases and of Molecular Metabolism at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Garrett investigates how the gut microbiota influence both innate and adaptive populations and the contribution of these cells to immune homeostasis and disease.

The workshop will be led by Andrew Goodman, C.N.H. Long Professor of Microbial Pathogenesis and director of the Microbial Sciences Institute, who will highlight resources at Yale and studies in progress across the university.
