Greetings, all –
This week, the editors of the New England Journal of Medicine engendered both controversy and cheers by breaking with past tradition and making a political statement with the attached editorial, Dying in a Leadership Vacuum, which highlights the missteps that the U.S. government has made in the course of the COVID-19 response. I encourage you all to read it, as this is sure to become a key text in the public debate about whether or not scientists (and physicians) should engage in political advocacy.
