Registration has opened for the virtual Consortium of Universities for Global Health 12th Annual Meeting - Addressing Critical Gaps in Global Health and Development which will be held March 12-14, 2021. For more information about the conference, please visit: https://www.cugh2021.org - of note, Yale University is an institutional member and residents are considered “students” for the purposes of registration, so keep that in mind when looking at the registration fee chart.

New and Notable

· Applications are now open for the 2021-2023 class of the UCSF HEAL Initiative Rotating Fellowship program! Rotating Fellows are US-trained and licensed physicians who will rotate between both domestic and international partner sites each year of the fellowship. Upcoming Local Events: August

  • Wednesday, August 19th @ 8-9am: The Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS at Yale (CIRA) will be hosting a virtual panel discussion on “Conducting International HIV/AIDS Research during the COVID-19 Pandemic”. Panelists include Yale faculty researchers and CIRA International Visiting Fellows (see attached flyer for further details). The panel will be moderated by Luke Davis, MD, Yale Schools of Public Health and Medicine. Topics will include: 1) strategies to thrive when adjusting from research environments to working remotely; 2) creative approaches to maintain productivity and communication with research collaborators; and 3)opportunities to shift focus and study the impact of COVID-19 on HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment.
