Dr. Alexander Mbewe is a postdoctoral Fellow in Clinical Epidemiology and Aging Related Research, in the Department of Geriatric Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine. He is a graduate of the University of Zambia School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Queens Hospital Center, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, in New York. He has also completed a Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Connecticut, and he has a decade of experience working in Geriatric Medicine, both as a clinician and an educator. He is a recent graduate of the Yale Clinical Fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
He research interests are in disparities of palliative care utilization among elderly ethnic minority patients who have a diagnosis of cancer.
