Yale Geriatrics Project Seeks To Educate, Empower

The Department of Internal Medicine’s Section of Geriatrics launched a new endeavor to help educate and empower older adults with information and strategies to help them maintain their health and independence.

Entitled “The Geriatrics Project,” presentations from experts in various topics related to aging such as mobility, driving, fall prevention, will be posted monthly to the Geriatrics website.

The debut video in the project is from Leo M. Cooney Jr, MD, Humana Foundation Professor of Medicine (Geriatrics) on “Maintaining Independence.”

The Section of Geriatrics strives to improve the health of older adults by providing exceptional patient care, training future leaders and innovators in aging, and engaging in cutting-edge research. To learn more about their mission, visit Geriatrics.
