Available Training

Having completed seven (7) years of development and testing, the Connecticut Collaboration for Fall Prevention (CCFP) programming is now available beyond our intervention area. The materials described here were used by CCFP to assess and intervene upon fall risks. However, the true evidence base also includes information on behavior change strategies, physiology, and issues regarding organizational change which were also incorporated into the programming to improve outcomes. The approach of this program is to incorporate evidence-based practices which support clinicians in their effort to change their own behaviors as well as the behavior of their older patients. We feel this background is essential for our materials to effectively and efficiently help the frontline clinician. CCFP investigators are available to consult with organizations that are interested in developing evidence-based fall prevention programming.
