Biography

Mary Geda is the Associate Program Director for the Yale Program on Aging and the Co-Leader for the Field Operations of the Yale Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center. She also manages projects at Yale including the LIVEBETTER pragmatic cardiology trial and the Biostatistics and Phenotype Work Groups within the NIH-VA-DoD supported Pain Management Collaboratory Coordinating Center (PMC3).

She has over 25 years' experience in the field with experience that ranges from recruiting participants into drug and device trials to running coordinating centers for a network with hundreds of hospitals. She has an excellent grasp of the organizational dynamics of clinical research from her experience in positions that include Clinical Trial Coordinator (UPenn), Research Subject Advocate/Research Monitor (UPenn), IRB Manager/Co-Chair (Univ. of CO), and Research Project Director (Yale).

Ms. Geda is known for building infrastructure that can be scaled and sustained. She has been involved in University-wide initiatives that include developing an institutional research training program (UPenn), securing AAHRPP accreditation(University of Colorado IRB), and expanding access to REDCap (Yale).

Her high level of engagement and breadth of contributions is apparent from the publications in which she is a co-author. These publications involve research diverse in clinical areas, designs, methodologies, and patient populations.
