Akshay Pendyal

Akshay Pendyal, MD earned his undergraduate degree in English literature, with a concentration in creative prose, from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and internal medicine residency at the University of Colorado. He completed his cardiology fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University, where he also served as Chief Fellow. Dr. Pendyal's interests center on the interactions between racial and economic inequity and health. Following completion of his training, Dr. Pendyal hopes to pursue a career in research, public service, and writing.
