Topic: The Dynamics of Infectious Diseases Associated with Injection Drug Use in Lawrence and Lowell, Massachusetts
Learning Objectives:
- To understand the trajectory and pattern of infectious complications of injecting drug use and other health events (i.e., overdose) in a community that experienced a recent outbreak of HIV among PWID.
- To understand the use of distributed lag models in time-series analysis to examine the association of past events (i.e., explanatory or independent variables) with current day values of a dependent variable.
- To understand the challenges in prediction of outbreaks of HIV among PWID.
Addiction Medicine Rounds are CME accredited. Each session will be assigned 1 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.
