Yale Program for Medicine, Spirituality, and Religion Spring 2021: "Healing the Soul, Healing the Body: Medieval Arabic Physicians and Philosophers on the Role of the Spirit in Medical Care"
Dr. Aubin is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Warwick, studying Arabic summaries of Galenic medicine in the 10th-11th centuries. His research explores all aspects of Arabic intellectual history, but is especially focused the natural philosophical works of the classical period, and how this tradition interacts with other areas including dialectical theology, metaphysics, ethics, logic and medicine. He earned his PhD in Philosophy at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (2019), and BA in Near Easter Languages and Civilizations at Yale (2014). He is also an avid birdwatcher and amateur fly fisherman.
