Raise Expectations for Alcohol-related Care in the Hospital (REACH)
REACH is a pilot implementation intervention aimed at improving health professionals’ knowledge and appropriate utilization of medications for alcohol use disorder and, subsequently, improving receipt of medication among hospitalized patients diagnosed with an alcohol use disorder. REACH is currently being implemented on select general medicine services at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Resources, activities, and educational materials provided through REACH are intended for all health professionals including physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, social workers, and nurses.
