In 2001, the Yale Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program was specifically formed to answer the challenges faced by patients with the complex, lifelong gastrointestinal, inflammatory diseases of Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis. Our program focuses on three components: Clinical Services, Patient Education, and Research.
To learn more about how we treat complex, lifelong inflammatory diseases through our dedicated program focused on clinical care, patient education and research please visit YaleMedicine.org.
The key to effective management of your disease is coordinated cared among specially trained physicians in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Our program offers expertise in adult and pediatric gastroenterology, surgery, pathology, and radiology.
One of the most important aspects of patient care is educating individuals about living with IBD. Education empowers patients to take an active role in their health care decisions and improve their quality of life.
The goal of research is three-fold:
We offer ground-breaking clinical trials and genetic research.
