Genetics Seminar Series: "Exploring the many cell fate trajectories during heart development"
Developmental cell fate trajectories are typically considered linear pathways; however, modern lineage tracing has revealed that seemingly homogeneous populations are frequently comprised of cells that took very different paths. Here, I will discuss our work using the heart as a model to understand how alternative life histories might influence development and adult cell behavior.
