Electrocardiography Core Laboratory
Overview
The Electrocardiography (ECG) Core Laboratory, supervised by Alexandra Lansky, MD, provides standardized qualitative and quantitative analysis of this pivotal diagnostic test.
Expertise
The ECG Core Laboratory provides analytic measures critical to the evaluation of acute myocardial infarction in the context of clinical trials. Core laboratory analysis of ECG data provides:
- Standardized assessment of Q wave and ST-segment resolution,
- Consistent adjudication of interval or pre-existing MI,
- Baseline data for event adjudication during long-term follow up, and
- Facilitated assessment of TV/TL relationship in the adjudication of MI and key composite endpoint events.
Methods
The ECG Core Laboratory includes three trained readers and a physician over-reader, and uses standard methods to evaluate ischemic endpoints. The ECG Core Laboratory has passed numerous vendor-initiated audits.
